The Eaton Cutler-Hammer W250M2CFC NEMA motor starter is available through the Eaton W200/Advantage product series that consists of contactors and starters that are made for industrial use for a variety of different applications. The starters from Eaton Cutler-Hammer are available as non-reversing, horizontal reversing, and vertical reversing versions. The starters from the W200/Advantage series feature compact dimensions, protection from brownouts, a high level of contact force, common auxiliary contacts, minimal bounce times, and advanced communication capabilities. In addition to that, these drives offer exceptional motor protection capabilities like overload protection (with an accuracy rating of 2%), selectable settings that do not require heaters, protection from ground currents, phase loss protection, and protection from unbalanced phases. Also, the W200/Advantage starters feature selectable features such as automatic or manual reset functions and trip class levels of 10, 20, or 30, (there is no protection when the overload protection feature is disabled.)

The W250M2CFC starter unit features a size 2 frame and a motor input voltage of 200 Volts AC. The maximum power output of the drive is 10 Horsepower while its continuous amperage rating is 45 Amps when it is enclosed. In addition to that, this starter has an input frequency of 60 Hertz and a coil voltage of 120 Volts. Since the W250M2CFC starter provides ground current sensing protection, it should be mentioned that drive’s specifications also include a trip current of 20 Amps, a lockout current of 86 Amps, and a trip time of .4 seconds. In regard to phase loss and phase unbalance protective features, the drive features a phase unbalance level of 30%, a trip delay of 6 seconds, and a phase loss trip after 2 seconds if the phase current is below 1.15 Amps. This starter unit is a reversing (vertical) type of starter and it features the following dimensions (H x W x D): 165.1 millimeters (6.5 inches) x 63.5 millimeters (2.5 inches) x 126 millimeters (4.96 inches). It should also be mentioned that the operating temperature range of the drive is between -40 and 40 degrees Celsius (-40 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit) and its storage temperature range is between -40 and 100 degrees Celsius (-40 and 212 degrees Fahrenheit).
