The W210M4CFC module is an Eaton Cutler-Hammer electric motor starter. The W210M4CFC electric motor starter is classified under the Eaton Cutler-Hammer W200 series and it features a solid-state current sensing unit. The W210M4CFC current sensing unit provides the device with overload protection, provides the unit with phase loss protection, and it offers phase imbalance protection as well as ground current-sensing protection. The W210 series of the Eaton electronic motor starters feature identical parts with the exception of the circuit board to which the control wires are attached. The drives circuit boards differ with respect to the components and the software programs that run.
The W210M4CFC electric motor starter offers phase loss protection with the advantage starters option automatically opening within 2 seconds. The electric motor starter also features the phase imbalance protection which is a protection option that automatically opens within 6 seconds. This happens after the starter senses an imbalance between the 2 phase currents that have more than 30% of the trip rating. The W210M4CFC features the latest control technology available from Eaton. The electronic motor starters are equipped with a solid-state contactor with built-in overload protection. It comes in a compact and easy-to-install package. The W210M4CFC provides forward and reverse-operation functionalities with no need for using an additional contactor. It is also equipped with an optional emergency-stop feature that comes built into the starter’s firmware. The compact solution offers up to 78% space requirement reduction compared to the traditional electro-magnetic starters. The W210M4CFC comes with an integral overload protection feature with a compact size and a high-electrical life, making it an ideal replacement for an old motor starter.
