The SVX003A1-4A1B1 Adjustable AC Drive is a compact, sensorless vector control module that belongs to the SVX9000 Series. Designed by the Eaton Cutler-Hammer Corporation, this high-performance module is suitable for variable speed applications and it offers advanced ASIC circuit features. It has a voltage rating of 480 Volts, a current rating of 5.6 Amps, and a maximum power rating of 3 Horsepower. The module automatically isolates motor parameters for the U/f mode as well as the sensorless vector control mode, keeping good track of any parameter changes that are made over time. Vector control is conducted in a network of stator flux coordinates that are immune to small measurement variations and motor parameters. The module’s steady-state speed error is less than 0.5% while the torque rise time is also less than 10 milliseconds.
