The RGH320039E is a three-pole molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Corporation. It is part of Eaton’s series-G family of molded case circuit breakers and it has an RG frame. It is rated for 2000 Amperes maximum continuous current at 40 degrees Celsius, 690 Volts AC maximum operating voltage, and 50 to 60 Hertz. The RGH320039E circuit breaker features one of the best contact designs in the circuit breaker industry to provide high-speed “blow open” action in reaction to the electromechanical forces created by fault currents. The RGH320039E breaker is ideal for protecting three-phase industrial equipment and conductors against high-level fault currents, overload, and short circuit. It offers trip-free operation that ensures the breaker trips even when its switch handle is jammed or locked in the ON position.
Eaton’s RGH320039E circuit breaker features a Digitrip 310+ Electronic ALSIG trip unit that adds to its protective power and significantly reduces problematic tripping that may increase downtime. This trip unit requires no additional external power supply and it contains a fixed long delay time that can be adjusted with a rating plug. A green indicator light provides information on the state of the trip unit. Apart from the high-performance protection that the RGH320039E circuit breaker offers, it also has certain advantages. For instance, it offers up to 35% space saving capacity compared to standard circuit breakers with similar ratings. Short Delay, Long Delay, and Ground Fault functions are available on the RGH320039E circuit breaker and it features a built-in receptacle for connecting a test kit. The Long Delay function on this breaker features a thermal memory that protects against cumulative overheating resulting from overcurrent faults occurring successively.
