The RGH320038E is a 3-Pole Type RGH Cutler-Hammer Circuit Breaker, manufactured by Eaton. It belongs to the Series-G RG-frame class of circuit breakers and has a rating of 2000 Amperes, 690 Volts AC maximum. It has a Digitrip 310+ Electronic trip unit and an adjustable rating plug. The RGH320038E breaker is suitable for providing short circuit, high current, and overload protection for 3-phase equipment in a range of industries and applications. Like all series-G breakers from Eaton, the RGH320038E circuit breaker features a compact design that helps save panel space during installation and it can be used as a main or branch circuit protection device while also serving as a switchgear in distribution systems.
All series-G circuit breakers including the RGH320038E breaker have global applications. It features an imperial tapped line and load terminals on each pole for connecting conductors and it has a rugged casing designed to provide adequate insulation and protect its internal components. When applied within the rating specified by its manufacturer, the RGH320038E circuit breaker can last for many years with little or no maintenance. A toggle switch serves as the operating mechanism of the RGH320038E circuit breaker and indicates its operating status. This breaker automatically opens the circuit when a fault occurs but does not reclose it automatically and must be manually reset and closed before resuming operation. Terminal shields can be used on both line and load ends of the RGH320038E breaker to prevent accidental contact with personnel. Note that exceeding the power rating of this breaker can result in nuisance tripping or damage to connected equipment.
