The RGC316035E is a 3-Pole Type RGC molded case circuit breaker with a Digitrip 310+ Electronic LS trip unit manufactured by Eaton. Its rating is around 690 Volts AC at maximum. It has 1600 Amperes with a performance of 100 kAIC at 415 Volts AC. It features an adjustable rating plug, adjustable long delay time/pickup, and adjustable short delay time/pickup. Like all Series-G Eaton circuit breakers, the RGC316035E circuit breaker features advanced trip unit functions suitable for providing short-circuit protection for different three-phase systems. The operating mechanism of the RGC316035E circuit breaker is mechanically trip free and prevents the circuit from remaining closed in case the handle is locked or jammed when the circuit shorts or overload occurs.
The toggle handle of the RGC316035E circuit breaker automatically snaps into the TRIPPED position when the breaker trips and the circuit remains open until the breaker is reset and turned on. Color stripes on the side of the toggle switch of this breaker indicate its state of operation when ON, OFF, and TRIPPED as red, green, and white, respectively. The continuous current rating of the RGC316035E circuit breaker can be adjusted via the built-in switch on its 310+ trip unit without replacing its rating plug and it offers an optional cause of trip indication/display. Multiple combinations of internal and external accessories that are compatible with the RGC316035E circuit breaker can be used to extend its environmental and applications rating and it integrates seamlessly into new and existing systems alongside other system protection/operation devices.
