The Eaton Cutler-Hammer NGS312038E is a Circuit Breaker from Series G family of Molded Case Circuit Breakers. This is a product that has been designed to increase efficiency in electrical installations. It brings a high interrupting current limiting capability, and it is applied for circuit protection in systems with a voltage rating lower than 480 Volts AC. The NGS312038E has a 1200 Amp capacity that makes it suitable for high-power industrial and naval applications. It can also be used for power generation installations, for renewable sources of energy protection, and for big data centers.
The Eaton NGS312038E has electronic ALSI trip type unit with maintenance mode. This makes it one of the most advanced field installation protection devices. The module relies its functioning on Digitrip 310 RMS true current RMS sensing module with a microprocessor inside of it. It is equipped with an operating mechanism that provides a means of closing and opening breakers contacts. Contacts closing is conducted automatically when there is a trip situation. Contacts opening is usually conducted manually, although you can mount an additional automatic unit for this task to be performed remotely or automatically. The mechanism clearly indicates circuit breaker position, for which is important for the user to be able to detect a trip point in the system (especially where multiple breakers are installed in a system). The item is packed in NG-Frame dimensioned housing, it is suitable for reverse feed use in systems that has frequency rating between 50 and 60 Hertz. The device is delivered with load and line terminals on it.
