The Eaton Cutler-Hammer NGH308036E Molded Case Circuit is a multipurpose circuit breaker in the G Series of Eaton circuit breakers which are rated for reverse feed use, HACR-rated applications, and for providing instantaneous circuit protection in a variety of low-voltage systems. This breaker comes in a very compact design with space-saving external components that users can install in the field, and it provides circuit-enhanced protection to the connected devices and conductors. The NGH308036E has 800 Amps of rated operating current, with up to 65 kAIC of interrupting rating, and is rated for use with 600 Volts AC maximum terminal voltage. This breaker is designed with a built-in over temperature trip, which provides over-temperature protection in the event that the operating temperature exceeds the designated value, and for additional protection, the NGH308036E is designed with an instantaneous override setting. It has a long time pickup setting that is adjustable from 0.5 to 1.0% of the plug rating and a short time pickup setting that is adjustable from 200 to 800% of the plug rating.
It also has a ground fault setting with a delay time that is adjustable between 0 and 500 milliseconds. Like all DigiTrip trip units, it comes with a powered thermal memory which stores the timing sequence of pass overloads, and then imposes shorter timing on subsequent overloads. There are LED indicators which indicate the device status only and not the cause of a trip, and this breaker does not come with a discriminator circuit either. It has the imperial tapped line and load terminals, which provide termination points for the circuit, and it also comes with imperial base mounting hardware, which provides easy field installation. The NGH308036E, like all Series G breakers, has a standard 40 degrees Celsius maximum calibrated ambient temperature, and it is designed for use within an environment with non-condensing and non-corrosive relative humidity. The NGH308036E has an average weight of 45 pounds, with a total shipping volume of 8.3 x 16.0 x 5.5 inches, and it is UL, CSA, and IEC certified.
