The JT3250FA is a molded case circuit breaker, which is part of the Series G product line of circuit breakers by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. Series G offers circuit breakers in 5 different frames ranging from 15 to 2500 Amps. These circuit breakers are globally accepted and they offer many special features along with common accessories that can be installed directly in the field. The main purpose of the Series G circuit breakers is to deal with current irregularities and to prevent the damage that can arise from short circuits. The industrial systems consist of various electrical components and these systems require reliable and efficient circuit protection devices that will, in the long run, reduce costs and prolong the operating life of valuable equipment.
The JT3250FA comes from the product series that offers compact breakers that are much smaller (by up to 35%) than breakers from Eaton’s C Series of circuit breakers. Also, in regard to this product, the JT3250FA trip unit provides an advanced level of functionality and performance. The users can incorporate these circuit breakers to serve as machinery OEMs, electrical OEMs, mining breakers (up to 1100 Volts AC), navy breakers that meet the requirements of all the relevant standards (UL 489, ABS/NVR, MIL-C-17588 and MIL-C-17361), DC breakers with 125 to 750 Volts DC rating, and current limiting breakers. The JT3250FA circuit breaker trip unit has a JG frame and it is the fixed thermal and adjustable magnetic trip type. In addition to that, it should be noted that this variation of the Series G trip unit has 3 poles and 250 Amps of amperage. Also, this unit is certified according to the CSA and it complies with the CE regulations. Besides that, the JT3250FA is an IEC-rated and UL-listed device. This unit, along with other products from this product family, has a standardized design that will meet the requirements of a global customer base.
