The JT3225FA is a circuit breaker trip unit designed and manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Eaton branded molded case circuit breaker trip unit is one of the products offered through the wide Eaton product range called Series G. The “G” in the series name stands for “global,” which means that the circuit breakers from this product line are intended for global applications or for a global customer base. These breakers are built to provide the necessary circuit protection for low-voltage distribution systems and these devices are used for closing and interrupting a circuit between contacts that are separable under operating conditions that are either normal or abnormal.
The engineers at Eaton designed circuit breaker devices that will protect the conductors from current overloads and in addition to that, they will also provide short circuit protection for conductors and other apparatus that are connected to the breaker. These circuit breakers are known to be extremely reliable, efficient, and to provide safety because of their ability to identify and mitigate any electrical hazards that may occur. The use of such circuit protection devices will help in maintaining the proper power continuity and significantly reduce costs and overall energy use. The Series G circuit breakers are available in 5 different frames offering different amperage ratings. The frames include an EG frame (15 to 125 Amps), JG frame (63 to 250 Amps), LG frame (250 to 630 Amps), NG frame (320 to 1200 Amps) and an RG frame (800 to 2500 Amps). The JT3225FA molded case circuit breaker trip unit is a fixed thermal and adjustable magnetic trip unit with 3 poles. The JT3225FA trip unit has an amperage output of 225 Amps and it comes with a JG frame. In addition to that, this globally accepted product includes certifications from the IEC, UL, CSA, and the CCC, and it also complies with the CE regulations.
