The Eaton Cutler-Hammer EGS3060FFG G-Series Thermal Magnetic Circuit Breaker is a current limiting device in the EG Frame family of circuit breakers which offers outstanding circuit breaking power in a relatively small package. The EGS3060FFG is suitable for low-voltage applications which require robust branch and main circuit protection, and it has field replaceable components which allow for easy installation/integration (this is a very big advantage over conventional circuit breakers). It has a maximum voltage rating of 480 Volts AC with a continuous current rating of 60 Amps, and it provides selectable interrupt ratings of 35 KAIC at 480 Volts AC and up to 85 KAIC at 240 Volts AC.
It is designed with a fixed thermal/fixed magnetic trip unit, and like all Eaton Cutler-Hammer solid-state circuit breakers with thermal magnetic trip units, this device is subject to the 80% de-rating rule. The EGS3060FFG has a rated insulation voltage of 690 Volts AC across the auxiliary circuit and main circuit, and it offers up to 6000 Volts of rated impulse voltage across the main conducting path. Its maximum operating voltage is 480 Volts AC, and it has a -20 to 70 degrees Celsius (-4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit) rated permissible temperature range. The EGS3060FFG has a box type terminal made from 2.5 to 95-millimeter stranded or solid conductor, and it comes with the main switch type operating mechanism which can be used to set to the ON, OFF, and TRIPPED modes. It has an average weight of 1.4 kilograms (3.1 pounds), with average dimensions of 139.7 x 76.2 x 76 millimeters (5.5 x 3.0 x 2.9 inches), and it is KEMA, EC, CSA, CE, and UL-certified.
