The EGS3045FFG is a Cutler-Hammer molded case circuit breaker that is classified under the G Series of circuit breakers. The module features the E Frame type and it comes as a 3-pole circuit breaker. The circuit breaker has an interrupting rating of 40 kAIC at 415 Volts AC and of 35 kAIC at 480 Volts AC. The amperage rating for the module is 45 Amps and it features the standard line or load terminals. The EGS3045FFG is CE marked and it comes with the CSA, IEC, and the UL listings. The module features the EG frame type with a frequency rating of 50/60 Hertz and voltage rating of 600Y or 347 Volts AC. The trip type for the module is the fixed thermal and the fixed magnetic trip type.
The EGS3045FFG and the other standard EG frame circuit protectors come with line and load terminals. A terminal end cover is also available for 3-pole circuit breakers only. For the load side end terminals, there is a field installed multiwire connector. These connectors are mostly applied for distributing the load from the circuit breaker to devices that are attached to the breaker. The terminal areas also feature the terminal shield in 3 and 4-pole circuit breakers. The EGS3045FFG features special terminal shields that are used when an electrical operator is attached to the circuit breaker. Other accessories that come with the module are the special terminal shields that are packaged individually. The Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers are operated by using the toggle type operating mechanism. This features the on, the off, and the trip positions.
