The Eaton EGS2030FFB is a Series G molded case circuit breaker with an EG Frame. It is an EG Type of complete breaker which includes a magnetic–thermal trip unit. The 2-pole EGS2030FFB is rated at 30 Amps and at 600Y/347 Volts AC. The specifications for the interrupting capacity at 240, 480, and 600Y/347 Volts AC are 85, 35, and 22 kAIC, respectively. The breaker is rated at 50 and 60 Hertz frequencies. The breaker weighs 2 pounds and the dimensions of its enclosure are 5.5 inches in height, 2 inches in width, and 2.99 inches in depth. A number of steel or aluminum bolt-on terminals can be ordered from the manufacturer for use with the EGS2030FFB. The different terminals can be used with a variety of either copper or aluminum cables.
Prior to installation, it is recommended to ensure that the EGS2030FFB meets the installation requirements. To ensure the safety of personnel and equipment, it is recommended to ensure that the circuit breaker is switched off, that voltages are not present in the work area, and that the equipment is not energized. The servicing and testing of the circuit breaker should also be performed when it is in the off-state. Periodic inspection of the EGS2030FFB should be carried out to check whether the circuit breaker is damaged and if it is functioning according to the manufacturer specifications. Field testing can also be performed when required. The EGS2030FFB is a UL-certified breaker. It is factory sealed to prevent tampering with the calibrations. Is also complies with the CE requirements. Additionally, the EGS2030FFB is IEC rated and CSA certified.
