The EGH3015FFG is a 3-pole Cutler-Hammer complete circuit breaker from Series G of the molded case circuit breakers manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. This circuit breaker has 65 kAIC at 480 Volts AC and is rated at 15 Amps, 480 Volts AC maximum voltage, 50 to 60 Hertz frequency. It measures 4.5 inches x 4 inches x 6.5 inches, it features an EG-frame size and weighs 1.36 kilograms. It features box terminals on the line and load sides and it is suitable for providing equipment control and protection for a variety of applications including circuit protection for distribution systems, panel boards, conductors, motors, etc. All Cutler-Hammer complete circuit breakers, including the EGH3015FFG, are made up of trip units, circuit breakers, standard line and load terminals, a frame, and mounting hardware, and it is built with high-performance and space-saving in mind, thereby making it easy to be integrated into new or existing control and safety systems.
The EGH3015FFG incorporates fixed thermal trip units and the handle clearly indicates when the breaker has tripped due to fault currents, undervoltage, or overloading, but there is also a window to the right side of the handle to indicate the OFF or ON or TRIPPED status of the circuit breaker with green, red, and white indicators, respectively. It must be reset manually every time it trips before closing the circuit again after a trip. Failure to couple the line and load terminals of the EGH3015FFG circuit breaker properly and using it with equipment with a higher rating than it can support can easily lead to discoloration, overheating, frequent trips, or permanent damage to the circuit breaker or the equipment connected to it.
