The EGE3125FFG is an Eaton molded case circuit breaker classified under the G Series. The G Series circuit breakers feature 3 poles, with a rating of 125 Amps at 480 Volts AC. It comes with various options that include a shunt trip, an auxiliary switch, and undervoltage release. The terminals that are included with the EGE3125FFG include line and load terminals with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip units. The module also features DIN rail mounting. The EGE3125FFG has the UL 489 certification and all the UL 489 certified devices are intended to provide protection for entrance, feeder, and branch circuits. It has shipping dimensions of 5 x 4 x 6.5 inches (H x W x D) with 3 pounds of net/gross weight.
The various approvals that are featured with the EGE3125FFG include UL, CSA, CE, and IEC certifications. For the Kilo Ampere Interrupting Capacity (kAIC), the EGE3125FFG has 18 kAIC at 600 Volts AC and it also features 35 kAIC at 240 Volts AC. The G series Cutler Hammer circuit breaker comes with thermal magnetic breakers that are tested by UL in the open air and rated at 40 degrees Celsius as the maximum operating temperature. The EGE3125FFG requires using 75 degrees Celsius wire for proper heat sinking and performance. The 90 degrees Celsius wire can only be used if the ampacity of the 75 degrees Celsius wire is used. The molded case switches are 100% rated as standard per the UL ratings. The EGE3125FFG is current limiting, and it has a high-speed opening and electromagnetic repulsion forces in combination with the incorporation of sophisticated arc extinguishing technique limit energy that is developed by the short circuit current at a very low value.
