The Eaton Cutler-Hammer EGE3060FFG G Series Fixed-Thermal and Fixed-Magnetic Circuit Breaker is a very high-performance circuit breaker with 3-pole wiring and a compact design which provides both branch and main circuit protection in a wide range of applications. This current limiting device, like all EG frame devices, is designed to save operation space, cost, as well as maintenance on main accessories, it is field replaceable, and it is capable of producing high-speed “blow-open” action using electromechanical force caused by very high fault currents. The EGE3060FFG has a continuous current rating of 60 Amps, with an interrupt rating of 18 to 415 Volts AC, and it has an IEC-rated operating voltage of 690 Volts AC. It is designed with mechanical trip-free fixed magnetic and fixed thermal trip units (FT-FM), with load and line side terminals for field wiring, and its 3-pole feature can be wired for both single and 3-phase applications.
The EGE3060FFG has 690 Volts AC insulation voltage along the main conducting path and the auxiliary circuit, with a rated impulse voltage of 6 and 4 Kilo Volt across the main conducting path and the auxiliary circuit, and it has a rated permissible ambient temperature of -20 to 70 degrees Celsius (-4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit). This circuit breaker is used in both plant protection and starter combination applications, and it has a rated permissible load of 73 to 86% at 70 degrees Celsius. It has 10 RMS rated time constant, and it has a 10 Kilo Volt (KV) rated short-circuit breaking capacity at 250 Volts DC. The EGE3060FFG has a box type line terminal with 2.5 to 95-millimeter square solid or stranded wire. It has a total mounting dimension of 139.7 x 76.2 x 76 millimeters, with an approximate weight of 1.4 kilograms, and it is UL, CSA, CE, and IEC-certified.
