The EGC3100FFG Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breaker is an Eaton Cutler-Hammer Series G compactly built circuit breaker, with a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit that is used for short-circuit and overload protection in a wide variety of low-voltage applications. This breaker is designed around a space-saving footprint, which provides effective circuit protection within a compact package, and it also features state-of-the-art high-speed blow open contact action that is caused by a high-level current fault. The EGC3100FFG has a very high interrupting capacity of 100 kAIC at 480 Volts AC input, and it also has a continuous current rating of 100 Amps. It is designed for circuits with a maximum operating voltage of 600 Volts AC, and it comes with a 3-pole design which can be wired for both single and 3-phase applications.
The EGC3100FFG has 3 standard line and load end pressure terminals with metric rated mounting hardware and also with a terminal cover for each terminal. Unlike most thermal-magnetic circuits, this breaker has a trip unit that is designed to be closed to field adjustment, thereby preventing any human errors, and it is also capable of providing fast-acting thermal and instantaneous thermal and magnetic trip actions. The EGC3100FFG, like most G Series breakers, comes with a hand toggle type of operating mechanism that is designed to hold the breaker’s contact open when there is an abnormal current condition, and if the breaker is tripped, it can be used to reset the breaker contacts. The EGC3100FFG is rated for use at a temperature below an ambient limit of 40 degrees Celsius, and a non-condensing 0 to 95% relative humidity range. The EGC3100FFG weighs approximately 1.36 kilograms, and it has net shipping dimensions of 76.2 x 139.7 x 75.9 millimeters (width x height x depth).
