The Eaton EGB4030FFG is a molded case circuit breaker with a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip mechanism. The circuit breaker has 30 Amps of rated current and it has 4 poles. With an EG Frame size, the EGB4030FFG IEC has a rated insulation voltage of 500 Volts AC for the main conducting paths and the main auxiliary circuits. Additionally, its main conducting paths have a 6 Kilo Volts rated impulse withstand voltage and 4 a Kilo Volts rated impulse withstand voltage for the auxiliary circuits. Under the IEC standards, the EGB4030FFG, as with other circuit breakers with an EG frame size, has its operating voltage rated at 415 Volts AC while the NEMA caps are rated at 600Y/347 Volts AC.
The Westinghouse EGB4030FFG has a minimum permissible operating temperature of -20 degrees Celsius and a maximum one of 70 degrees Celsius. The EGB4030FFG is UL and CSA certified. The EGB4030FFG has box terminals for the main conductors which accommodate a tightening torque of 5.6 N-m. The circuit breaker has a 40 Watts power loss when it is used as an isolating breaker, for plant protection, and when it is used for starter combinations. The EGB4030FFG accommodates either solid or stranded cables. The Eaton EGB4030FFG belongs to the Series G family of molded case circuit breakers that are designed and manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. The built-in ground fault protection mechanism used by the EGB4030FFG is capable of detecting 20 Amps of current. Standard calibrations for the EGB4030FFG are done under an ambient temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. Other calibrations below or above 40 degrees Celsius are provided upon request.
