The EGB2020FFB is a complete molded case circuit breaker that is manufactured by Cutler-Hammer (a division of the Eaton Corporation). It is part of the G Series which is a globally highly evaluated circuit breaker that gained strong support from users. This type of molded case circuit breaker is established as the de facto standard type of circuit breaker for electrical circuits and protective devices. The EGB2020FFB comes with line and load terminals already installed, and with 480 Volts AC rated thermal-magnetic trip unit which is factory installed and cannot be changed in the field. This makes this device UL-489 certified.
The Eaton EGB2020FFB is one of the modules with the smallest possible current rating. Its nominal current is only 20 Amps, so it is suitable for home applications and in industrial applications with devices that do not consume too much power. The circuit breaker is designed with many user-friendly accessories to be more convenient to the users’ application needs. It has a high-performance 18 kAIC interruption rating at 480 Volts AC. All of the materials used in the manufacturing of internal contacts are cadmium-free, and all the major parts inside of the mechanism are designated with the names of the used materials to make this device eco-friendly and easy to recycle. The EGB2020FFB MCCB has a compact design that reduces the usage of panel space. Furthermore, if the current capacity of the users’ applications gets increased during the time, they can simply change this module with the one from the G Series that has the appropriate current rating, without having to worry about space. All 3-phase MCCBs from this series are manufactured with the same dimensions.
