The LT3500FA is a molded case circuit breaker trip unit designed by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. This HACR rated product is manufactured as part of Series G of the circuit breakers and it features fixed thermal and adjustable magnetic trip types, and it also includes line and load terminals. The circuit protection solutions from this product line are made for preventing current overloads, short circuits, and other electrical irregularities that may cause serious issues within the controlled system. Every system that consists of a group of electrical components that are combined to operate on a high level must have appropriate circuit protection. The use of such devices would help the users to protect the equipment, reduce overall costs, and also provide a safe operating environment for the people that are controlling the system.
The Series G circuit breakers and circuit protection devices are designed for applications that require components that are marked with the EL, CSA, and IEC listings. The circuit breakers from this series are made with different continuous amperage ratings from 15 to 2500 Amps and they include features such as trip units rated at currents from 20 to 2500 Amps, UL-listings and IEC-ratings, and field integration of accessories. The LT3500FA circuit breaker unit is smaller in size and it provides an exceptional performance for its size and cost. The devices in this series are marked with a letter “G”, meaning that they are intended for global applications. The LT3500FA model with 3 poles has an LG type/size. The maximum amperage of this circuit breaker is 500 Amps while it’s operating voltage is 600 Volts AC. This circuit breaker has the following dimensions (H x W x D): 101.6 millimeters (4 inches) x 114.3 millimeters (4.5 inches) x 215.9 millimeters (8.5 inches). In addition to that, the LT3500FA circuit breaker weighs around 0.9 kilograms or 2 pounds.
