The Eaton Cutler-Hammer LT340036 DigiTrip 310 Plus Series G Electronic Trip Unit is an electronic trip unit with a locally controlled ARC FLASH Reduction Maintenance System that is used for high-performance current limiting and overload protection in a wide range of applications. The LT340036, like every Frame LG electronic trip unit, has true RMS current sensing capability and it is used for accurate and reliable overload protection, and it is designed with an over-temperature trip capability which provides over-temperature protection when the temperature exceeds the preset value. The LT340036 has 3-pole wiring with a continuous current rating of 400 Amps, and it is used in circuits with 600 Volts AC operating voltage. It provides microprocessor-based true current sensing, which is achieved through the analysis of secondary current signals from the breaker’s current sensors and by initiating trip signals.
The LT340036 features adjustable short time, ground fault, and long-time pickup settings, and it has a front panel adjustable switch option with up to 9 time-current settings. This trip unit, like every LG frame electronic trip unit, is 100% rated at 40 degrees Celsius, and it has an adjustable long time pickup setting range of 40 to 100% of the plug rating. It also has a short-time pick range of 200 to 1200% of the plug rating, and it offers a long-time delay range of 2 seconds to 24 seconds and short time delay time of 100 milliseconds. For added protection, the LT340036 is fitted with an instantaneous override setting with a value just below the breaker’s withstand rating, and it also has additional ground fault pickup settings. It comes with a thermal memory which is capable of remembering the timing sequence of recent abnormal events, and of imposing a shorter timing in the event of subsequent overloads. The LT340036 is calibrated to operate at a 40 degrees Celsius temperature limit, and it is capable of self-diagnosing and advanced system monitoring. The LT340036 has total mounting dimensions of 139.2 x 257.3 x 103.9 millimeters, with a net weight of 7.3 kilograms, and it is UL, IEC, CE, and CSA certified.
