The LT3350FA is a thermal-magnetic trip unit manufactured by Cutler-Hammer industries. Made by Eaton, the biggest Cutler-Hammer subsidiary, the LT3350FA is a 3-pole thermal-magnetic circuit breaker. The LT3350FA has multiple frame sizes with varying specifications, which allow it to be used for more power specific operations. The LT3350FA has 5 frame sizes which are the EG, JG, LG, NG, and RG. The LT3350FA’s current rating depends on the frame size and it can be 160 Amps, 250 Amps, 400 to 600 Amps, 800, 1200, or 1600 Amps, and 1600, 2000, and 2500 Amps, respectively. Only the EG frame of the LT3350FA is powered at 500 Volts AC, the rest of the compatible frames have a 750 Volts AC power requirement when using the main conducting path. The withstanding voltage value for the rated impulse of the LT3350FA is 6 kV, 8kV, 8kV, 8kV, and 8kV respectively. The LT3350FA requires an optimal temperature ranging between -20 and 70 degrees Celsius. The amperage rating of the LT3350FA is 300 Amps.
The LT3350FA uses both the box and the flat-bar terminals as cross-section terminals for the main conductor. Only the LG frame size of the LT3350FA thermal-magnetic trip unit has a 600 Amps Busbar. The tightening torques for the various LT3350FA frame types are 5.6 N-m, 20 N-m, 42 N-m, and 31 N-m, respectively with the RG frame not having any tightening torque. The LT3350FA also features pickups and under-voltage releases. The LT3350FA also comes with a shunt trip. The height, width, and depth dimensions of the LT3350FA are 2.75 x 3.25 x 5.5 inches, respectively. It comes with the standard 12-month and 18-month warranty.
