The Westinghouse RD320T52W circuit breaker is a 100% rated electronic circuit breaker. The breaker has 3 poles and it is meant to provide circuit protection, both main and branch circuit protection, to a system that operates with a current of 2000 Amps or less at a voltage not exceeding 600 Volts AC. The RD320T52W, being a Series C breaker from Eaton/Westinghouse, is certified by several major global electrical bodies. The circuit breaker’s trip unit makes use of the Digitrip 510 LS trip type to respond to a short circuit and to undervoltage or overvoltage releases.
The RD320T52W electronic circuit breaker from Cutler-Hammer has a complete molded case. To aid in the monitoring and troubleshooting of the circuit, the circuit breaker features a handle on its front end. The handle indicates the operating status of the breaker. Each of the operating statuses of the RD320T52W circuit breaker is indicated by the position of the handle and by a color-coded plate found on the circuit breaker. The 3 major positions that the handle can assume are the on position indicated by a red color, the tripped position indicated by a white color, and the off position indicated by a green color. After a trip, the handle on the RD320T52W must be moved beyond the off position to reclose the circuit breaker. The Eaton RD320T52W molded case circuit breaker has no terminals and it has a 50 kAIC rating at 600 Volts AC as described in the UL 489 standards. Note that the Digitrip 510 trip type features status LEDs and cause-of-trip LEDs for system diagnostics.
