The CRDC316T62W is a Cutler-Hammer Molded Case circuit protector. The CRDC316T62W is classified as a C Series circuit protector and it comes with a maximum voltage of 600 Volts AC. The circuit protector comes as a 3-pole circuit breaker and it has a maximum amperage rating of 1,600 Amps. The circuit breaker also features the 489 UL standards with an interrupt rating capacity of 100 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and 200 kAIC at 240 Volts AC. The circuit protector features various optional accessories which include the shunt trip, the auxiliary switch, and also the undervoltage release. The CRDC316T62W comes with provisions for terminals that are sold separately. The trip units for the CRDC316T62W are adjustable thermal and adjustable magnetic trip units. The circuit protector also features the LSI electronic trip unit. It meets various standardization certifications including the CSA standard 22.2, the IEC standard 60947-2, and it also has the UL 489 rating. The CRDC316T62W, just like the other Cutler Hammer circuit breakers, comes with a toggle operating mechanism.
This toggle is a mechanically trip free operating handle, thus the contacts cannot be held closed against short circuits. If the Cutler-Hammer CRDC316T62W circuit protector trips, the circuit breaker comes with an indicator that displays what error has caused the trip. Thus, the CRDC316T62W circuit breaker comes with a remarkably fast troubleshooting mechanism, allowing the operator to easily identify the cause of tripping and to quickly remedy it. The CRDC316T62W and all the other Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers feature a manufacturer’s warranty with every purchase of every circuit breaker. The warranty can be valid for one year from the installation date or it can be valid for 18 months from the shipping date, depending on which date comes first.
