The Eaton NDC312T106W is a Series G NDC type of circuit breaker with an NG frame. It is a 100% rated breaker with an HACR rating. The complete 3-pole NDC312T106W includes an OPTIM 1050 electronic LSIG type trip module. The OPTIM trip units are microprocessor-based, programmable, low-voltage trip units. OPTIM trip units cover a range of currents rated from 70 to 5000 Amps. They provide true RMS sensing and use a fixed interchangeable rating plug to determine the continuous current rating of a circuit breaker. The features available with the OPTIM 1050 are a digital display, current and power factor monitoring, monitoring of power or energy, and the monitoring of current harmonics. The communications protocol that is supported is the Eaton PowerNet protocol. The testing methods supported are the BIM, OPTIMizer, and the PowerNet.
The current rating of the NDC312T106W is 1200 Amps. The voltage rating is 600 Volts AC (at 50 and 60 Hertz frequency) and the interrupt specifications for the NDC312T106W are 100 kAIC at 480 Volts AC and 200 kAIC at 240 Volts AC. The molded case NDC312T106W circuit breaker is supplied without terminals. The terminals need to be purchased separately. Only the recommended cable types should be used. The use of unsupported cable types can cause personal injury or equipment damage due to short circuits. Overheating the terminals can cause damage to the breaker or spurious tripping. Therefore, joint solutions should be used with aluminum conductors to reduce the chance of overheating the terminals.
