The HND3800T107W is an OPTIM 1050 electronic circuit breaker from Eaton’s C Series of circuit breakers. This device is packed in a molded case enclosure that has dimensions of 8.25 inches x 16.00 inches x 5.50 inches (209.55 millimeters x 406.40 millimeters x 139.70 millimeters). The module is designed and distributed by Cutler-Hammer (a Division of the Eaton Corporation). This circuit breaker comes from the N-frame product line. The device can operate in systems with current ratings of 800 Amps. This is why there is a great risk for the maintenance staff because there are incidental energy levels that are possible due to an arc flash. The advanced technology of the HND3800T107W reduces arc dwell times and the energy released by them. In this way, the levels of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) that must be applied to the device are reduced. This increases the operators’ comfort and mobility during the maintenance and installation processes.
The main function of the Cutler-Hammer HND3800T107W molded case circuit breaker is to provide the highest level of current protection to electric circuits by using solid-state technology, similar to the work of a microprocessor. This molded case circuit breaker has 3 poles and it is delivered without load or input terminals. The AIC rating of the HND3800T107W is 65 kAIC at 480 Volts AC. Users can use the device even at voltages of up to 600 Volts AC. The current level through each of the 3 poles is observed separately, but if there is an overcurrent condition even on 1 of the 3 poles, all of them will be tripped at the same time. It is recommended to use the breaker in surroundings with the ambient temperature between -20 and 80 degrees Celsius (-4 and 176 degrees Fahrenheit).
