The Eaton CHND312T52W is a 1200 Amps rated circuit breaker. It is an HACR and 100% rated Series C breaker of the CHND type and with an NG frame. The CHND312T52W is rated for 600 Volts AC and 50 to 60 Hertz. The interrupting capacity specifications for the CHND312T52W are 65 kAIC at 480 Volts AC and 100 kAIC at 240 Volts AC. It has 3 poles and it includes an electronic OPTIM 550 LSI trip module. Calibration of the integrated trip module does not depend on ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to 55 degrees Celsius. However, a trip is initiated by the protective circuitry inside the trip unit if the internal temperature of the PCB reaches 90 degrees Celsius.
Terminals are not provided with the CHND312T52W and they need to be purchased separately. Only copper or AL9CU terminals should be used. The CHND312T52W has to be used with the supplied terminal barriers and conductor extensions. The use of only 90 degrees Celsius-rated wire with an ampacity based on 75 degrees Celsius-rated conductors is recommended. The CHND312T52W weighs 45 pounds and it measures 8.25 x 8.25 x 5.5 inches. It requires 224 square inches of ventilation space around the front face of the circuit breaker enclosure (72 square inches on both the top and bottom sides and 40 square inches on both the left and right sides of the enclosure). The CHND312T52W muse be switched off during any maintenance or installation related activity to prevent injury or death to technicians and to prevent equipment damage.
