The Eaton MDLB3500 molded case circuit breaker device belongs to Series C of the Eaton circuit breakers. It is a complete circuit breaker device. The MDL Frame is used to manufacture this device and 3 poles are used in this device to operate properly. The MDLB3500 is widely used with single-phase AC circuits but also with the use of its 3 protected poles and it is also compatible with DC circuits. It is very compact in dimensions. It measures only 4.06 inches long, 16 inches high, and 8.25 inches wide. The MDLB3500 is a safe device to operate because it comes with a UL safety certification.
The MDLB3500 runs with 500 Amps of current and it comes with a 310+ unit type. It has a variable running frequency which adjusts itself according to the load of the breaker device. Both the thermal and magnetic trip types are set as constants and they cannot be changed during the operation of the device. It comes with multiple interruption ratings with different voltage levels. It has 65 kAIC for 240 Volts AC and 50 kAIC for 480 Volts AC. The MDLB3500 comes with a toggle handle operating mechanism which is used as a switching position indicator. It shows whether the device is in on/off position. There is also a button to check whether the tripping feature is working properly or not. This kind of device is used in environments where the risk of electrical damage is high. It protects the circuit from faulty overcurrents and it breaks down the circuit to shut down the flow of current.
