The MDL3500 is an Eaton Corporation C series circuit protector. It is classified as a complete molded case circuit protector and comes with the M frame size. It has an interrupt rating of 65 kAIC at 240 volts AC and 50 kAIC at 480 volts AC. the module features the MDL frame and it is therefore classified as an MDL breaker type. The complete breaker has a voltage rating of 600 Volts AC with an option for 250 Volts DC. The MDL3500 has an Amperage rating of 500 Amps. It is a circuit protector that features the fixed thermal and the fixed magnetic trip types, being a three-pole circuit protector. The Cutler Hammer circuit breakers are commonly used on the panelboards. Other common application areas are in switchboards, the motor control boards, and the busway applications.
These feature the patented design high speed blow open action that results from the modules superior operation. These circuit breakers outperform the calculations of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The Eaton Corporation also features various selections when it comes to circuit breakers. These include the thermal magnetic, the electronic, and the magnetic only switches. For the MDL3500 it is a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic circuit breaker. The Eaton Corporation circuit protectors are HACG rated and are available as individual components or the factory assembled complete breakers. These circuit breakers come with non-interchangeable trip units and are most suitable for the reverse feed use.
