The CHMDL3800F is a molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer CHMDL3800F circuit breaker belongs to Series C of the Eaton CHMDL Type of molded case circuit breakers. The Cutler-Hammer CHMDL3800F circuit breaker features the electronic LI trip type, 3 poles, 3-phase power, 800 Amps current rating, 600 Volts AC, 65 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and bolt-on mounting and a high interrupting capacity. The Cutler-Hammer CHMDL3800F circuit breaker is housed in an MDL-Frame Enclosure. The rear fed terminals make it easy for cable connections to be made at the backside of the Cutler-Hammer CHMDL3800F circuit breaker instead of making topside connections. The allocation of work downstream of the Cutler-Hammer CHMDL3800F circuit breaker, which entails an arcflash reduction of the maintenance system unit, can result in a minimized amount of incidental energy, minimizing the arc flash potential to the circuit breaker. The Cutler-Hammer CHMDL3800F circuit breaker is equipped with a flex shaft handle that is remotely installed, and the users use it by “funneling” the cable via the conduit.

The Cutler-Hammer CHMDL3800F circuit breaker’s flex shaft handle is responsible for extra heavy-duty operations, and the flexible shaft comes in several lengths like 3 feet or 10 feet for use in different enclosures. The flex shaft handle mechanism is only able to support up to 3 padlock shackles, each having a maximum diameter of â…œ inches. The Cutler-Hammer CHMDL3800F circuit breaker is applicable in control enclosures where the main or branch circuit protective components are needed. The Cutler-Hammer CHMDL3800F circuit breaker mechanism is suitable for right-hand mounting.
