The Eaton Cutler-Hammer LD4600 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is a 100% rated thermal-magnetic circuit breaker in the L Frame Series of current limiting circuit breakers, which provides enhanced circuit protection in a variety of low-voltage systems. This device is CE marked for industrial use and it is HACR rated, and it comes with a 4-pole design that is suitable for various wiring configurations. The LD4600 is a member of the Frame L family of circuit breakers, with a standard interrupting capacity of 35 kAIC, and it is used with applications with 600 Volts AC maximum line operating voltage. The LD4600 is pre-assembled with an adjustable trip unit, line and load end terminals, and an L Frame. Its terminal is made of a copper/aluminum (Cu/Al) conductor (4TA401LDK) with 120 by 300 millimeters square wire size, and it is designed to carry 400 Amps of load current.
Its trip unit is made of thermal and magnetic trip elements, and these elements provide reliable and fast acting trip actions. The LD4600 provides thermal trip action via the bimetal strip that is heated by a prolonged current overload, and it provides magnetic trip action via electromagnets which are arranged in series with the load, and which will cause a trip when the current exceeds the designated value. The magnetic trip element is designed to be field adjustable, and it can be adjusted from 5 to 10 times the nominal rating. It is designed to operate with a relative humidity range of 0 to 95%, and at a temperature limit of 40 degree Celsius. The LD4600 has a net mounting volume of 11.0 x 10.8 x 4.0 inches, with an average weight of 25 pounds, and it is built to meet the CSA, UL, BS, AS, and UL standards.
