The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HLD3600T57W is an L-frame sized molded case circuit breaker from the C Series. It has an electronic LSIA trip unit called the OPTIM 550. Its current rating is 600 Amps at 250 Volts DC or 600 Volts AC, at a frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz. This is an HLD type of MCCB with 3 poles, and it weighs approximately 9.1 kilograms (20 pounds). It is supplied without the line and load terminals. Users need to order them separately. These terminals provide wire connecting capabilities and they comply with the UL 486A, UL 486B, and CSA standards. Unless otherwise specified, these terminals are not factory installed and they must be field installed. The Cutler-Hammer HLD3600T57W is ideal for reverse feed applications as well as for the protection of a wide spectrum of industrial automation equipment.
The HLD3600T57W has an efficient electromechanical breaking mechanism protected by a rugged plastic housing that has dimensions of 8.25 inches (210 millimeters) by 10.75 inches (273 millimeters) by 4.06 inches (103 millimeters). The heart of its protective mechanism is a microprocessor-based technology that is used to apply true RMS current sensing. It is thoroughly tested and implemented in many different industries, and it has proved to be able to be used for years without maintenance. The Eaton HLD3600T57W can be used for systems rated between 300 and 600 Amps of current. This kind of flexibility is achieved through interchangeable rating plugs. The device is also flexible when it comes to installation options because it can be mounted horizontally or vertically, whichever is up to the users. This circuit breaker is UL-certified.
