The Eaton CHLD3400T52W is a complete electronic 100% rated circuit breaker. It is a CHLD type circuit breaker with an L-frame. The 3-pole CHLD3400T52W is a complete breaker and it includes a Digitrip OPTIM 550 electronic LSI trip module. The CHLD3400T52W is rated for 400 Amps of current and 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC voltage. At 480 Volts AC, it is rated for 65 kAIC of interrupting rating. The frequency ratings for the CHLD3400T52W are 50 to 60 Hertz. The breaker is UL certified. The CHLD3400T52W does not include terminals. Various terminals (copper or aluminum) can be ordered separately from Eaton. Copper or aluminum conductors can be used for terminations at the circuit breaker terminals. With aluminum conductors, a suitable joint compound should be used to prevent the overheating of the terminals (overheated terminals can lead to breaker damage or random tripping).
Prior to installation, the specifications of the CHLD3400T52W should be compared with system requirements. To avoid the risk of injury or death to the operators and of damage to equipment, the CHLD3400T52W should only be installed and serviced when it is powered off and all other electrical equipment is also not energized. The working area should be clear of voltage. All the relevant safety precautions and procedures should also be followed. The L-frame CHLD3400T52W has a weight of 21 pounds.
