The KT3400T is a device manufactured and created by Eaton Cutler Hammer. It is a series “C” device with a 3-pole module trip unit feature. This module has a 400 Amperes rating that comes in a molded case and is a thermal magnetic device. It has a NEMA K-Frame. It comes with a maximum voltage of 600 Volts AC. It comes with an optional shunt trip feature and an undervoltage release. It is 7 inches in length, 6 inches height and 5 inches wide, and is HACR rated. This module also comes in an aluminum terminal body. The KT3400T is HACR rated. It can be used widely with a switchboard, a panelboard, motor configuration center, and busway systems for circuitry safety. It provides protection to the circuitry in a low voltage distribution environment. It shuts down the connection between two points for both normal & abnormal conditions. The main work of this breaker is to provide safety with over-loads and conductors and also protects the motor and motor starters against any short circuits. These K-frame breakers are available as single components (frame, terminal, unit, trip) or a whole factory assembled complete breaker system. It can also be used for reverse feed use as they come with non-interchangeable trip units. The KT3400T can be used with both standard or higher interrupt frames. It comes with both line and load terminals. On the front side of the device is a rotating switch that can make changes to the magnetic trip adjustments. There is a Push to trip button present, which is used to check the tripping function and is used over time to check the operating mechanism.
