The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KDC3350 Thermal Magnetic Circuit Breaker is a factory assembled circuit in the Series C family of molded case circuit breakers with a high interrupting current limiting capability, used for circuit protection. It is supplied with standard line and load Copper/Aluminium terminals (TA350K), and it has a 3-pole design, suitable for both single-phase and three-phase wiring configuration. It has 350 Amps current rating, with up to 100 KAIC (Kilo Ampere Interrupting Capacity) at 480 Volts, and it is designed for low voltage applications with a maximum voltage rating of 600 Volt AC. The KDC3350 is a factory pre-assembled breaker consisting of a standard frame, a trip unit which is adjustable, and standard line and load side terminals. It has terminals made of 120 by 240 millimeters square Copper/Aluminium wire conductors connected to each pole, and are specifically suited for the nominal current rating.
The KDC3350 has an adjustable trip unit made of bimetal strip and electromagnet in series with line loads, and it magnetic trip can be adjusted up 10 times the nominal current rating. It also has an operating mechanism that provides a means of opening and closing breakers contacts and also indicates breaker positions (an important feature which shows trip point when multiple breakers are connected in a system). The KDC3350 is designed to operate below a temperature limit of 40 degrees, within which the carrying current is equal to the nominal continuous current, and it is used with 0 to 95% non-condensing and non-corrosive relative humidity environment. The KDC3350 has a total volume of 149.7 x 257.3 x 104.1 millimeters and weighs around 5.2 kilograms.
