The KDB3350W Molded Case Circuit Breaker by Eaton Cutler-Hammer is a Frame K Series C circuit breaker with a non-adjustable thermal-magnetic trip unit, that is used for providing short-circuit and overload protection in a variety of low-voltage applications. It is factory-assembled with a trip unit, an operating mechanism, and an insulating enclosure, but it does not come with line or load terminals, which can be ordered separately to suit application needs. The KDB3350W has a nominal carrying current of 350 Amps at 40 degrees Celsius, with a maximum interrupting capacity of 35 kAIC, and it is used in applications with a line input voltage of 250 Volts DC or 600 Volts AC. It is used in both reverse feed and HACR-rated applications, and it comes with 3-pole wiring, which can be wired for either 3-phase or single-phase systems depending on application needs.
The KDB3350W consists of a non-interchangeable trip unit, with a trip-free operating mechanism, enclosed in an insulator-type housing. The trip unit consists of magnetic and thermal trip elements, which provide trip action by using electromagnets in series with line loads, and a bimetal strip heated by the line current load. Its operating mechanism is the “quick make and break” type, designed to provide a means of opening and closing contacts, and also to indicate the current action of the circuit breaker, which can be either off, on, or tripped. The KDB3350W is a temperature-sensitive device, designed to operate at 80% load at 40 degrees Celsius, and it is also used at 0 to 95% relative humidity. The KDB3350W has a net weight of 11.5 pounds, with total dimensions of 5.5 x 10.1 x 4.1 inches, and it is designed to meet the AS, UL, IEC, and BS standards.
