The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KDB3300W Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breaker is a multipurpose circuit breaker in the Eaton Cutler-Hammer Series C, Frame K family of completely assembled thermal magnetic circuit breakers with a frame and a non-adjustable trip unit. It is designed to provide line overload and short-circuit protection to conductors and connected electrical devices like motors and motor starters, and it is suitable for reverse feed use and HACR-rated applications. It is designed for low-load applications, with a current rating of 300 Amps, and an operating voltage of 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. The KDB3300W offers a 35 kAIC (Kilo Ampere Interrupting Capacity) interrupting capacity suitable for low-voltage systems, and it comes with a molded case enclosure made of insulating material for protection from hazardous shocks.
It has a non-interchangeable trip unit, which is made of temperature-sensitive and magnet-sensitive thermal and magnetic trip elements, and these trip elements provide very fast trip action in the event of prolonged current overload. The KDB3300W is also made of a quick break/make trip-free operating mechanism, designed to operate the contacts of the breaker and also to indicate the position of the breaker (off, on, or tripped). It has a factory-rated 40 degrees Celsius temperature limit, but in processes requiring higher ambient temperatures, this circuit breaker can be field calibrated to compensate for the higher operating temperature. It is designed to operate within a non-corrosive and non-condensing relative humidity range from 0 to 95%, and it can be used at a maximum height of 6000 feet without impeding the regular functions. The KDB3300W is designed to meet BS, UL, AS, and IEC standards, and it comes with an average weight of 5.2 kilograms (11.5 pounds), with a shipping volume of 149.7 x 257.3 x 104.1 millimeters (5.5 x 10.1 x 4.1 inches).
