The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KDB2350 Thermal Magnetic Circuit Breaker is a 2-pole circuit breaker in the Series C Frame F family of breakers with a fixed thermal and magnetic trip unit that is used for circuit protection in a wide range of low-voltage distribution systems. It is a factory-assembled complete breaker, comprising a KD frame, 2 load and line side terminals, a non-adjustable thermal-magnetic trip unit, and a high-speed blow open action feature. The KDB2350 is HACR-rated and it has a continuous current rating of 350 Amps with an interrupt rating of 35 kAIC. It is built for low-voltage application with 600 Volts AC maximum line voltage, and it is also designed for reverse feed use.
It has 2 load and line side terminals made of 250 to 500 millimeters square copper/aluminum pressure steel, and UL-rated for the breaker’s nominal current rating. The KDB2350 has a thermal-magnetic trip unit which provides both thermal and magnetic trip actions using bimetal and electromagnet trip elements and its magnetic trip element can be adjusted to accommodate up to 10 times the nominal rating. It has a trip-free operating mechanism that is the quick make/break type and which mechanically provides high-speed blow-open contact action in the event of an abnormal circuit condition, and this operating mechanism also indicates to users the position of the breaker. The KDB2350, like every Eaton Cutler-Hammer breaker with thermal-magnetic trip units, is 80% rated, and it is designed to operate within an ambient temperature limit of 40 degrees Celsius. The KDB2350 has an approximate weight of 5.2 kilograms and with dimensions of 149.7 x 257.3 x 104.1 millimeters.
