The Eaton KDB2200 is a circuit breaker which has 2 poles and the maximum current rating of the device is 200 Amps. The circuit breaker is designed and developed by Eaton to be used in industrial environments and applications like motor control centers, feeders, and switchgears to protect the equipment from overloads and overcurrent conditions. The KDB2200 safeguards the equipment from damage if the line or the load current goes beyond the specified limit of the circuit breaker by tripping and cutting the supply to the equipment. The circuit breaker must be installed according to the instructions provided in the manual and it should only be installed by a person who is familiar with installing these kinds of electrical devices.
The minimum specified mounting clearances should be maintained around the KDB2200 to allow for the free operation of the trip switch without any obstructions. The trip switch has 3 operating positions which are the on position at the top, the trip position in the center, and the off position at the bottom. If the device trips, the switch will be in the center position. To reset the circuit breaker, the users must first turn the switch to the off position and then turn it back on to get the equipment restarted. The ambient operating temperature of the device should be between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. The glass polyester frame prevents any growth of fungus or mold in the device. The KDB2200 comes with standard load and line terminals and the users must make sure the wires are secured in the terminals tightly before they turn on the power supply to the equipment.
