The KD3400K is a device manufactured and created by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. It is a Series C device. It is also a 3-pole module with a fixed thermal and magnetic trip feature. It has a 400 Amps current rating. It comes in a molded case and it is a thermal magnetic device. It has a NEMA K-Frame. It comes with a maximum voltage of 600 Volts AC. It also comes with an optional shunt trip feature and an undervoltage release. The KD3400K is 4.1 inches in length, 5.5 inches in height, and 5.5 inches in width and it weighs 11.5 pounds. It is HACR rated and it comes in an aluminum terminal body.
The KD3400K can be used widely with switchboards, panelboards, motor configuration centers, and busway systems for circuitry safety. It shuts down the connection between two points for both normal and abnormal conditions. The main work of this breaker is to provide safety with overloads and conductors and also protects motors and motor starters against any short-circuits. These K-frame breakers are available as single components (frame, terminal, unit, trip) or a whole factory-assembled complete breaker system.
