The HKD2400K is a C Series circuit breaker that is manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. The module comes with a K Frame type and it features an interrupt rating of 100 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and 65 kAIC at 480 Volts AC. The HKD2400K is a high-magnetic molded case switch with K Frame and it features the HKD circuit breaker type. The HKD2400K is a molded case switch frame type. The voltage rating for the HKD2400K is 600 Volts AC with an amperage of 400 Amps. The module has the fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip types and it is a 2-pole circuit protector. The HKD2400K comes with great flexibility and it has outstanding performance capability. The HKD2400K features the blow-open technology and it uses the electromechanical forces that are produced by a high level of fault currents.
These circuit breakers under the Eaton C Series feature the toggle operating mechanism. This is a trip from the handle that works so that the contacts are not held closed in the case of a short circuit incident. Whether the trip is the result of an overload or of short circuits will be illustrated clearly by looking at the position of the toggle handle. This helps to ensure ease of operating the module as well as ensuring enhanced safety. The HKD2400K is a current limiting module. This is because of the high repulsion contact operation. It features the state of the art arc extinguishing technology. The Eaton circuit breakers feature industrial use circuit protectors with interrupting capacities of up to 200 kAIC at 480 Volts AC.
