The DK2400 is a complete Series C circuit breaker from the Eaton Cutler-Hammer Corporation. The DK2400 is a 2-pole complete circuit breaker with aluminum line and load terminals. The current rating of the DK2400 is 400 Amps. The continuous current rating at 40 degrees Celsius is from 250 to 400 Amps. The voltage rating is 240 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC. The interrupting rating of the DK2400 is 65 Kiloamps Interrupt Capacity at 240 Volts AC and 10 Kiloamps Interrupt Capacity at 250 Volts DC. The frequency rating of the breaker is from 50 to 60 Hertz. The shunt trip ratings are 208 to 380 Volts AC or 110 to 127 Volts DC. The fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip mechanisms are both supported.
The DK2400 supports the following arc-flash reduction systems: the ALSI, ASLI (A), and the ASSIG. The trip unit is interchangeable. Status indications are provided via LEDs for breaker status and in the case of trips. A digital current display is also provided for system monitoring. The DK2400 should only be installed or serviced when it is not energized. Failure to do so can result in death, serious injury, or large-scale property damage. Therefore, the absence of all voltage must be confirmed before performing any service activity. Overheated terminals can damage the breaker and lead to tripping. Since the DK2400 has aluminum terminals, a suitable joint compound should be used to prevent terminal overheating. The molded case of the DK2400 is available in a K-frame NEMA enclosure. The dimensions of the DK2400 are 5.5 x 5.5 x 4.1 inches and it weighs 11.5 pounds.
