The JDC3250 is a thermal magnetic circuit breaker that is designed and manufactured by the Eaton Cutler-Hammer company. The Cutler-Hammer JDC3250 circuit breaker is part of Series C of the Eaton Cutler-Hammer JDC type of molded case circuit breakers. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer JDC3250 circuit breaker features fixed thermal trips, fixed magnetic trips, 3 poles, a 250 Amps current rating, 600 Volts AC operating voltage at 50 to 60 Hertz frequency, 250 Volts DC as the optional DC operating voltage, 200 kAIC of interruption at 240 Volts AC and 100 kAIC of interruption at 480 Volts AC, and the circuit breaker is contained in an Frame J enclosure type. The Cutler-Hammer JDC3250 circuit breaker is equipped with an internally locked cylinder that blocks the trip bar to prevent the Cutler-Hammer JDC3250 circuit breaker from switching on unintentionally. The cylinder lock is pre-installed at the factory only on the left pole of the Cutler-Hammer JDC3250 circuit breaker cover.
Unnecessary and unwanted handle movements can be avoided with a pad-lockable handle which is located at the cover opening. The interphase barriers allow for additional electrical clearance between the Cutler-Hammer JDC3250 circuit breaker poles for particular termination applications. The Cutler-Hammer JDC3250 circuit breaker also features terminal shields which give protection against accidental contact with the active wire side terminations. The control wire terminal kit offers a means for tapping off the power for monitoring from the main disconnect by utilizing the supplied male end of a quick disconnect device. The rear feed terminals enable the cable to connect to the Cutler-Hammer JDC3250 circuit breaker from the back.
