The JDB3225W Circuit Breaker by Eaton Cutler-Hammer is a Frame J circuit breaker with a non-adjustable trip unit, and it is used in most low-voltage applications for protecting conductors and connected devices from short-circuiting and current overloads. The JDB3225W is a 3-pole circuit breaker that is suitable for both single-phase and 3-phase wiring, and unlike most breakers in the Frame J series, this circuit breaker is shipped separately from the line terminal. It has 225 Amps of continuous current rating at 480 Volts AC, and it provides up to 35 kAIC of interrupting rating. It is designed for 600 Volts AC grounded and ungrounded system, and it can be wired for single and 3-phase systems through its 3-pole wiring design.
The JDB3225W is assembled without load or line terminals, and it is designed for reverse feed use. It is also rated for use with heating, air-conditioning, and refrigerating (HACR) applications. It has an ambient operating temperature limit at which the current load is equal to the nominal circuit breaker rating, and it is suitable for environmental conditions with a non-corrosive and non-condensing relative humidity range of 0 to 95%. The JDB3225W is designed to operate without de-rating at a maximum height of 6000 feet, and it is also designed to meet the AS, UL, IEC, and BS standards. The JDB3225W has an approximate weight 5.7 kilograms (12.5 pounds), and total mounting dimensions of 105.0 x 254.0 x 104.1 millimeters (4.1 x 10.0 x 4.0 inches).
