The Eaton Cutler-Hammer JDB3225 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is a 3-pole designed circuit breaker with a non-adjustable thermal-magnetic trip unit, and it is built for line protection against current overloading and short circuits in a variety of low-voltage distribution systems. This device is built with a 3-pole wiring system, which can be adapted to both 3-phase and 1-phase processes, and it is HACR approved for heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration applications. The JDB3225 comes standard with line and load terminals (TA250KB) designed to meet the nominal current rating, and its terminal is made of a 25 by 185 millimeters square copper/aluminum conductor.
It has a continuous current rating of 225.0 Amps, with a maximum short-circuit rating (interrupting rating) of 35 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and it is designed for applications with 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC. It comes assembled with a trip unit, a frame, and line and load terminals. The JDB3225 provides fast trip action using a non-adjustable trip unit which provides trip action (thermal and magnetic) via a bimetal trip element and an electromagnet arranged in series with a line load terminal. It also has a trip-free “quick make or break” operating mechanism which provides a means of opening and closing contacts, and it is also used as an indicator for the on, off, and trip conditions. It is designed for use at an ambient temperature range of 40 degrees Celsius, and at non-condensing relative humidity limits of 0 to 95%. The JDB3225 weighs approximately 5.7 kilograms (terminals included), with total mounting dimensions of 105 x 254 x 104 millimeters, and it is IEC, BS, AS, and UL certified.
