The Eaton Cutler-Hammer JDB3200W J-Frame Circuit Breaker is a circuit breaker with a non-interchangeable trip unit in the Series C, Frame J family of multipurpose circuit breakers, and it is used for providing protection against overloading and short-circuits in most low-voltage systems. This circuit breaker is designed for reverse feed use, and it is HACR-rated for use in applications like refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning. The JDB3200W is designed for 600 Volts AC systems, and it provides an interrupting capacity of up to 35 kAIC (Kilo Amps Interrupting Capacity). It has a continuous carrying current rating of 200 Amps, and it is designed with a 3-pole wiring system that is suitable for both 1-phase and 3-phase wiring. Unlike most Frame J circuit breakers, the JDB3200W is shipped without a terminal, but users can order terminal options that are suitable to their application needs.
This circuit breaker comes already assembled with integral components like a frame, an operating mechanism, and a trip unit. Its trip unit is designed to be non-adjustable, to prevent errors from tampering, and its trip unit is capable of providing thermal and magnetic trip action. It is also designed with breaker contacts operated by a quick make/break and trip-free operating mechanism, and the operating mechanism provides a means of indicating whether the breaker is “on” or “off or “tripped”. The JDB3200W is designed to operate without de-rating at a maximum height of 6000 feet, and it has an ambient temperature limit of 40 degrees Celsius within a 0 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity range. The JDB3200W weighs 5.7 kilograms, and it has mounting dimensions of 105 x 254 x 104 millimeters.
