The JD3125 is an Eaton Cutler Hammer circuit breaker classified under the C Series of molded case and it comes as a 3-pole circuit breaker. The module features 125 Amps and it has 35 Kilo Amps interrupting capacity at 480 Volts AC, and a capacity of 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC. The module has a maximum voltage of 600 Volts AC and 10 kAIC at 250 Volts AC. The shipping dimensions for the JD3125 are 6.2 inches in height, 6.9 inches in width, and 12.2 inches in length. The net shipping weight for the module is 9 pounds with a high-speed Blow-Open Action. The module also features a current rating of up to 2500 Amps and it outperforms the IEEE ratings.
The JD3125 has been specially designed to be a world-class accessory and it comes with both main and branch circuit protection devices. It also has the feeder pillars that provide main and branch circuit protection. The module features a toggle handle that is used to indicate the different positions or states including the “ON” State, the “OFF” state, and also the “Tripped” State. When the breaker is tripped, the toggle handle will automatically snap into the “Tripped” position. The tripping results in case of overcurrent, short circuit, shunts, and also for undervoltage reasons. The undervoltage release drops at 35 to 70%, whereas pickup for undervoltage happens at 85 to 110%. For the shunt trips, the pickup will occur when the voltage is at 70 to 110%. Note that for the JD3125, the maximum load duration is that it interrupts automatically. The circuit breaker is suitable for switching DC currents as well. However, note that for switching of DC currents, the maximum permissible DC voltage per conducting path must first be considered.
