The Westinghouse HJD2175 is a molded case circuit breaker with an amperage rating of 175 Amps. The circuit breaker has a J Frame type and 2 poles. With the HJD2175, the shunt trip and the undervoltage release are optional, and it has standard terminals on the load and line sides. Also, the HJD2175 has an optional alarm switch. When used to provide protection in a DC-powered circuit, the HJD2175 has an interrupt rating capped at 22 Kilo Amps Interrupt Capacity at a voltage of 250 Volts DC. When protecting AC powered systems, the HJD2175 has an interrupt rating of 100, 65, and 25 Kilo Amps Interrupt Capacity at a voltage of 240, 480, and 600 Volts respectively under the UL 489 ratings.
The HJD2175 is approved by the Underwriters Laboratory under the UL 489 standards. The circuit breaker is rated to provide protection to systems that do not exceed an operating voltage rating of 600 Volts AC. The HJD2175 uses an interchangeable trip unit which uses an adjustable thermal adjustable magnetic trip mechanism. Having 2 poles, the circuit breaker is designed to be used with 2-phased power systems. The Eaton HJD2175 molded case circuit breaker has a width of 4.13 inches, a height of 10.0 inches, and a depth of 4.06 inches. On the face panel of the HJD2175, there is a status handle and adjustment knobs. The circuit breaker belongs to the Eaton Series C group of molded case circuit breakers. The HJD2175 can be panel-mounted and it supports bolt-on connections.
