About GHC3030

The GHC3030 is a molded case circuit breaker from Eaton. The breaker is part of the reliable Series C group of molded case circuit breakers from Eaton. The GHC3030 has an operating current rated at 30 Amps, it is 3-poled, and it protects a system that uses a 3-phase power supply source.  For the tripping unit, the GHC3030 uses a fixed thermal fixed magnetic trip that supports long-time and instantaneous functions. The circuit breaker has a G-frame size and it falls in the GHC category of circuit breakers from Eaton.

The Cutler-Hammer GHC3030 molded case circuit breaker accommodates a feed-through connection and it has a rated voltage of 480 Volts AC. When operated at its rated voltage, the GHC3030 has an interrupt rating of 14 Kilo Amperes Interrupt Capacity, and while securing a system operating at a voltage of 240 Volts AC, the GHC3030 has an interrupt rating of 65 Kilo Amperes Interrupt Capacity. Note that the operating frequency for the circuit breaker, as with most other Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers, is rated at between 50 and 60 Hertz. The GHC3030, having a G-frame, is suitably conditioned for reverse feed use. The Westinghouse GHC3030 circuit breaker can only function as expected when operated at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius or lower. The GHC3030 features a non-interchangeable trip unit. Regarding certifications, the GHC3030 meets the requirements of the Federal Specifications under Class 13b. The circuit breaker needs to be inspected from time to time to ascertain its effectiveness because long-term use without maintenance may clog the tripping mechanism, which in turn lowers its effectiveness.
