The Eaton Cutler-Hammer GHC3015 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is a member of the Eaton Series C Type GHC line of the NEMA G Frame molded case circuit breakers. It operates with 3 poles, 3-phase power, a current rating of 15 Amps, a voltage rating of 480Y/277 Volts AC or of 125/250 Volts DC, an interrupting rating of 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC or of 14 kAIC at 480Y/277 Volts AC. The Eaton GHC3015 Molded Case Circuit Breaker features a standard interrupting capacity, a maximum ambient temperature of 40 degree Celsius, and the bolt-on connection method. The GHC3015 comes complete with non-interchangeable trip unit and long-time and instantaneous trip functions which make it ideal for reverse feed use.
These molded case circuit breakers, including the Eaton GHC3015 and the other G Frame circuit breakers, are HACR rated and they can be ordered as single-pole circuit breakers rated 15 and 20 Amps of current. These circuit breakers are switching duty rated (SWD) for use in fluorescent lighting. Both 2-pole and 3-pole circuit breakers have similar trip types. Eaton’s molded case circuit breakers are among the best and most comprehensive circuit breakers in the industry. Their applications comprise motor circuit protectors, thermal-magnetic trip breakers, molded case switches, current limiting breakers, electronic RMS trip breakers, and special application breakers. They are specially designed and intended to protect conductors against any possible overloads and they protect connected apparatus such as motors or motor starters against any possible short circuits. There is a variety of applications that can be used with molded case circuit breakers in low-voltage distribution systems.
